Sundance....

Chris and I have participated in Sundance since we were freshly dating, about 3 weeks in. We don't consider ourselves film snobs or even knowledgeable in the industry at all, but we like the vibe of the festival and seeing obscure films. This was our biggest year yet, 5 films over one week. We are officially tired of seeing movies. This was also the first year we saw real live celebrities. John invited us to a premier of Manure, a movie about, not surprisingly, Manure. In attendance were Billy Bob Thorton, Tea Leone, "Andy" from the office and "Orson Hodges" from Desperate Housewives. It was interesting seeing the reaction people have to celebrities. The Manure movie was at times hilarious, but poop jokes lose their allure after about an hour, we discovered. Saturday night we did our traditional evening in Park City, riding the shuttles, seeing two movies, and scrounging for food. One of our films was a series of shorts, and the last one that played was a winner. We were rolling in the aisles, figuratively. We were so inspired by this piece of film we've decided to rename the blog to Chimay!, for our own amusement.
